Each year the Society of American Florists recognized florists that celebrate 100 years in the floral industry. This year Emil J Nagengast Florist was given the Century Award in recognition of 100 years of outstanding service to the floral industry. We thank SAF for the honor and we thank our loyal customers who have invited us to share in their special days since 1910.

From West: Take I-90 east to the Western Avenue/ US-20 exit. Merge on to the Adirondack Northway South and continue .6 miles to Western Avenue. Make a left on to Western Avenue and continue .3 miles. We're always here to serve you and make your flower-sending experience a pleasure.

We assure same day delivery for orders taken before 12:00 noon E.S.T.
Within Albany a delivery fee of $7.00 will be added to each order, for each address. (For deliveries outside our local area this fee may vary.) U.S. orders must be recieved before 12:00 noon in the recipient's time zone to assure same day delivery. Orders received after 12:00 noon in the recipient's time will be delivered the following day.

We will be happy to accept your international orders if you call our shop directly.

This February, Emil J. Nagengast Florist proudly participated in the 20th Annual New York in Bloom event for the New York State Museum at the Empire State Plaza in Albany. New York in Bloom is the primary fund raiser for the New York State Museum's award-winning Museum Club and Discovery Squad After-School Programs. Emil J. Nagengast Florist contributed four designs to the Museum this year. Pamela Nagengast designed a colorful pave style piece for the Native American Jewelry exhibit. Susie Nagengast created a beautiful arrangement of white flowers accented with evergreens for the Winter Sports exhibit. Jenn Whiting grouped a set of cylinder vased filled with bright flowers for the news stand in Metropolis Hall. And Margie Amodeo's arrangement of gerbera daisies in bubble bowls and dianthus topiary complemented the Sesame Street exhibit. The Nagengast family is proud to continue supporting local programs that educate both children and adults about our precious and fragile environment and the fascinating history of New York State.

Occasionally, substitutions may be necessary to create your bouquet due to the availability of certain flowers in various parts of the country. Care is taken to maintain the style, theme and color scheme of the arrangement, using flowers of equal value. Additionally, the substitution of certain keepsake items may be necessary due to increased demand, especially during major holidays. In single-flower arrangements, such as an all rose bouquet, or orchids, we will make every attempt to match the flower type, but may substitute with another color.
