From South and East: Take I-90 West to Exit 2 for Fuller Road, toward UAlbany. Make a left on to Fuller Road and go 1.1 miles. Stuyvesant Plaza will be on the right. From West: Take I-90 east to the Western Avenue/ US-20 exit. Merge on to the Adirondack Northway South and continue .6 miles to Western Avenue. Make a left on to Western Avenue and continue .3 miles. We assure same day delivery for orders taken before 12:00 noon E.S.T.
Within Albany a delivery fee of $7.5 will be added to each order, for each address. (For deliveries outside our local area this fee may vary.) U.S. orders must be recieved before 12:00 noon in the recipient's time zone to assure same day delivery. Orders received after 12:00 noon in the recipient's time will be delivered the following day.

We will be happy to accept your international orders if you call our shop directly.

Emil J. Nagengast Florist has always been a true full-service brick and mortar flower shop.

Many online companies, calling themselves "florists", never handle a single stem! They will take your order and send it to a local florist who fills the order and delivers it to the best of their ability. The "order gatherers", as they are called, charge considerable fees (often $10.00- $15.00) just for handling the order and they can have no idea of what containers or flowers are available in any one of the filling shops. Their fees may be a clear addition to their online price or they may be taken out of the amount you think you are spending on the flowers. In addition their pictures are merely suggestions of what you may receive.

Other online companies "drop ship" from warehouses far from the recipient's address. The flowers are sent in bunches, sometimes along with a vase, in a cardboard box via large shipping companies. These boxes may be left on doorsteps for hours or days throughout the year, rain or snow. The recipient is responsible for arranging the flowers to the best of their ability and disposing of the mess.

This February, Emil J. Nagengast Florist proudly participated in the 17th Annual New York in Bloom event for the New York State Museum at the Empire State Plaza in Albany. New York in Bloom is the primary fund raiser for the New York State Museum's award-winning Museum Club and Discovery Squad After-School Programs.

Emil J. Nagengast Florist contributed three designs to the Museum this year. Pamela Nagengast designed a beautiful and fun house of flowers for the "Look-Alikes" exhibit. Mary Beth Hotaling created a stunning and vibrant arrangement for the Gem and Mineral Gallery. Diane "Susie" Nagengast designed a piece inspired by the rich history of downtown Albany for the Research and Collections Gallery.
